Jennifer Ayres, PhD, ABPP
I describe myself as… authentic, creative, curious, and a life-long learner. My primary core values are authenticity, love/compassion, and personal growth, and they guide my approach to counseling and coaching.
Why I work with healthcare professionals: I worked in residency education for 12 years and know how challenging it is to handle complicated patient care while managing the multiple personal tasks and roles that a busy life requires. I love working with healthcare providers to learn new strategies to find work-life balance and life satisfaction.
I’m passionate about… self-compassion, finding meaning in our everyday lives, creative solutions, and using self-reflective curiosity to explore our choices, decisions, and life goals.
You might like working with me if… you are curious about why you do what you do and if shifting your self-talk and learning to manage your stress and sadness could make life feel a bit easier and more enjoyable.
When not working… you will find me exploring Austin with my teenage twin sons and our dogs Maui and Einstein. Or perhaps you’ll find me at a beach somewhere, reading or writing a blog or journal entry.
